Terms and Conditions

FREE!
It is free to rent a Freetrailer from the day you pick it up until the morning of the following business day, at the time stated in your rental agreement. If you want to book the trailer in advance so that you are sure there is one ready for you when you go to the store, then it costs kr. 15 when booking on www.freetrailer.dk. REMEMBER that if you do the booking at the store itself, then the rental is FREE.

Weekend Rental
If you pick up a Freetrailer on a Saturday at a store that is closed on Sundays, then the trailer does not have to be returned until the Monday morning, at no extra charge, at the time stated on your rental agreement. If the Monday is a bank holiday and the store is also closed, then you can keep the trailer for another day for free! However, if you have chosen to pay for the Vehicle Damage Cover, then it is charged per day and will have to pay for every extra day that you are keeping the trailer.

If you rent a trailer on a Friday and it is not returned on the Saturday and the store is closed on Sunday, then you must pay for rental on Sunday too.

Deposit
Any extra fee is taken from your deposit. If the deposit amount does not cover all of the extra fees, then it will be withdrawn from your credit card once the trailer is returned.

No Show
If you do not pick up your Freetrailer at the agreed booking time, then you will be charged a No Show fee of kr. 185.

Extending the Rental Agreement
You can extend the period of your rental agreement on this site by going to the homepage and into "My Booking" in the blue box on the right. Enter your details and do the appropriate changes. This must be done at least one hour before the expiration of the original rental agreement. The fee for extended rental is kr. 185 per day. If you do not amend the rental agreement online on time, then Freetrailer reserves the right to draw a penalty of kr. 300 in addition to the extra day's rental fee.

Cancellations
You must cancel your booking if you do not want to use the trailer anymore. Cancellations can be done on this site by going to the homepage and into "My Booking" in the blue box on the right. Enter your details and follow the instructions. This must be done at least one hour before the start of the original rental agreement. (see No Show above for conditions on not picking up your trailer).

Damage Excess
If you return the trailer and it is damaged in any way, then you must pay an excess of kr. 500, which is substracted from your deposit . 

Vehicle Damage Cover
You can choose to purchase the Vehicle Damage Cover for kr. 39 per day, which will prevent you from paying the excess of kr. 500 in case of damage to the trailer. However, in case of major damage which is not covered by our insurance and that is due to your own gross negligence or deliberate acts of destruction, then Freetrailer reserves the right to make claims against you to cover the damage.

Cleaning
You need to clean the trailer before you return it. If you do not return it in the same condition as when you picked it up, then you will be charged a fee of kr. 100 which will be taken from your deposit .

Legal Requirements of the Tow Vehicle
You bear the full responsibility of the vehicle that you use to tow our Freetrailer. It must meet all legal requirements without exceptions and must be in full working order.

Agreement
Before you sign the rental agreement, please read and understand our Terms and Conditions and provisions carefully. When you pick up the Freetrailer, you will be given a copy of the rental agreement which must remain with you for the whole duration of the rental as legal proof of insurance.

Please note that if the trailer is not picked up within an hour after the agreed booking time, then you will be charged a fee of kr. 185, which will be withdrawn from your deposit.
