Yes, you can. If you need to keep the trailer for longer than stated on the rental agreement, then you can extend the rental period on the internet. Go into My Booking in the blue box on the homepage and do the appropriate changes. This has to be done at least one hour before the expiration of the original rental agreement. The fee for extended rental is kr. 185 per day. You can rent the trailer for as long as you need it. If you do not amend the rental agreement online on time, then Freetrailer reserves the right to draw a penalty of kr. 300 in addition to the extra day's rental fee.

You can either book a Freetrailer directly here on this site (the booking fee is kr. 15) or you can do it at any one of the pick-up locations during their business hours (free - but there is no guarantee that there is a trailer available when you get there). In both cases, you must pay a refundable deposit of kr. 785 and you can also purchase Vehicle Damage Cover to reduce your excess from kr. 500 to kr. 0 in case of damage.

If you pick up a Freetrailer on a Saturday at a store that is closed on Sundays, then the trailer does not have to be returned until the following Monday morning, at no extra charge, at the time that is stated in your rental agreement. However, if you have chosen to pay for the Vehicle Damage Cover, then it is charged per day and you will have to pay for two days of cover.
If the Monday is a bank holiday and the store is also closed, then you can keep the trailer for another day for free! You would still have to pay for an extra day of Vehicle Damage Cover though.
If you pick up a trailer on Friday and want to keep it all weekend, you have to book it for 2 days in order to have it until Monday morning.
If the store is open on Sundays, then you have to book the trailer for every single day of use.
If you don't book the trailer for the correct number of days, then you will have to pay a penalty of kr. 300 in addition to the rental fee of kr. 185 per extra day.
Please remember that you can only return a trailer during the store's opening hours.
So please make sure that your booking is correct!!
This is good old common courtesy. The Freetrailer must be returned in the same condition as when you picked it up, otherwise there is a fee of kr. 100.
If you pick up a trailer that is not clean, then go back to the store and let them know. They will help you book another trailer.

The Freetrailer is empty when you rent it. Blankets and straps are a good idea if you need to protect whatever you are moving. You need to bring your own as we do not provide them.
You might think that Freetrailers are cheap models because we are lending them out of free? That is not the case at all.
Freetrailer use only the best trailers available on the market. We use the Dantrailer 755CV Cargo.
You can transport anything you like in a Freetrailer, even earth from your garden, as long as you clean the Freetrailer before returning it - otherwise it will cost you kr. 100 if you return it dirty.
You can protect the inside of the trailer with a tarp or heavy plastic and you must stay within the legal weight limits of the trailer (up to 375 kg). Of course, for obvious reasons, the trailer must not be used to transport people.
If you damage the trailer because you loaded it too much, then you are liable for the cost of the repairs. Our insurance does not cover gross negligence.
The Freetrailer fits on all cars that can be equipped with a light harness and a tow hitch. Although it looks like a heavy load, it is easy to drive around with a Freetrailer, even in small cars.
No one else can use the trailer that was rented under your name.
Normal rental rules apply here. Only the person(s) named in the rental agreement are allowed to use the Freetrailer.
You must stay within the normal speed limits. Within the city limits, the maximum speed is 50 km / hour. Outside the city boundaries, the maximum speed is 70 km / hour. You can go to a maximum of 80 km / hour on highways.
A tow hitch can be installed on your car by most licensed mechanics. It usually costs around kr. 4,000 depending on the make and year of your vehicle.
Freetrailer carry all mandatory insurance on their trailers. See "Insurance" for more information. Our insurance does not cover the loss of the keys, power cables or locks that were provided to you with the Freetrailer. If you lose any of these, then you must pay a compensation of kr. 500 per item lost. Our insurance does not cover any of your belongings. Your personal home insurance or tenant's insurance may cover them. You are the only one who can access this information. We are not permitted to voice any opinion on this matter. Please check with your own insurance policy. Remember to always lock the Freetrailer when it is loaded!
Freetrailer carry insurance up to the required legal limits for collision and liability, with an excess of kr. 500. Vehicle Damage Cover can be purchased at the time of initial booking for kr. 39 a day, which brings the excess down to kr. 0.
Our insurance does not cover gross negligence. If you were drunk while driving around with a Freetrailer and you were involved in an accident, then you will be liable for the cost of repairs to the damaged trailer.
