How Does the Deposit Work?
By giving us your credit card details, you give Freetrailer the right to withdraw up to kr. 785 if there are any extra costs to your original rental agreement.
If you do not pick up the booked trailer, if you are late, if the trailer has been damaged, if you forget to clean it, etc, then Freetrailer will withdraw the appropriate amount from your card, up to the reserved deposit amount.
Here is a list of potential extra costs to your original rental agreement:
- kr. 185 per additional day of rental
- kr. 500 when the trailer has been returned damaged - without Vehicle Damage Cover
- kr. 39 per additional day of Vehicle Damage Cover
- kr. 100 for cleaning when the trailer has been returned dirty
- kr. 300 penalty when the trailer is returned after the agreed return time on the rental agreement
- kr. 185 as a No Show fee if you do not pick up the trailer at the agreed time on the rental agreement
- kr. 500 per item if you lose the keys, power cables or locks that were provided to you with the Freetrailer.
If there is no extra cost to your rental, then no amount will be withdrawn from your card. We have no right to access your card once the rental agreement has been fulfilled and completed.
